Your travels from Downtown San Luis Obispo can start at the Downtown Transit Center, near the County Government Center at Osos Street and Palm Street. You can make convenient connections with the City of San Luis Obispo (SLO Transit) buses diagonally across the street.
How to Read the Bus Schedule

Fares
All buses accept cash fares and bus passes. Cash fares must be exact as the drivers do not carry change. Please see the fare grid on the route web page for the route you want to ride to know what your fare will be. You can purchase a $5.50 regional day pass on any RTA bus or a $3 SoCo Transit day pass on any SoCo Transit bus. All other passes are sold online or at pass outlets. Passes are also available through the free Token Transit app. Download the app to your smart phone and type in RTA or South County Transit to find our system. Set up you profile and then you can download a bus pass right to your phone.
RTA Routes
See the destinations served by RTA: Route 9 (towards Paso Robles), Route 10 (towards Santa Maria), Route 12 (towards Morro Bay), Route 14. Route 12 connects you to Route 15 which takes you North to Cayucos, Cambria and San Simeon.
Paso Robles Routes A & B
Routes A & B in Paso Robles are based out of our North County Transit Center at 8th and Pine where the Amtrak train stops as well. Routes A and B will take you around Paso Robles every hour, Monday through Friday, and Route B also runs on Saturday, and will connect you with the rest of the county via RTA Route 9.
South County Transit
RTA also operates South County Transit which includes Route 21, Route 24, Route 27 and Route 28, connecting the Five Cities area – including Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Shell Beach, Arroyo Grande, and Oceano – to the rest of the county via RTA’s Route 10.
